Renato Brozzi (Traversetolo, 7th August 1885 – 21st June 1963)
Suini al pascolo” (Grazing pigs)
Silvered bronze plaque
About 1930
Dimensions: h. 10 cm x  l. 18,5 cm
Signed “R.Brozzi” on the lower left corner

Example of the small embossments by Renato Brozzi, minute masterpieces of a refined decorative style that attracted the praises of Gabriele d'Annunzio. In this piece can be seen that sense of the shapes immersed in the atmosphere, typical “stiacciato” by Donatello or even the medals by Pisanello, but with a strong taste of acute modernity.

A similar item is preserved in the collection Ricci Oddi in Piacenza.
